Rudy Reimer is often involved in special activities within the community and beyond. Some of the most recent projects are described below.

Entrepreneurial Encounters

The Donald Trump of Burlington

This educational initiative developed by Tom Dykes gave high school students interested in a future in business the opportunity to meet with Mr. Reimer in a boardroom setting in the Reimer office tower. It was followed by further meetings including the teachers from the schools. The entire program was likened to Donald Trump's now famous television reality show except that Mr. Reimer did not “fire” anyone, but was headlined in the paper as the “Donald Trump” of Burlington.

China Trade Mission

The City of Burlington asked Mr. Reimer to join a trade delegation traveling to China in the fall of 2004 in an attempt to lure prospective businesses and investors to our City of Burlington. Being asked to represent the City gave Rudy an opportunity to promote this great City which he is so proud to be a part of.
